Updating the text and phrases

You can easily manage 99% of all the text that appears on your site under the Translations menu option. Simply click on the language you want to update the text for and browse or search for the phrase or word that you want to update. Once you have made the changes you can save everything. To see the changes reflected on your site you may need to delete the cache files on your server. To delete the English language cache you need to delete the following:

/app/tmp/cache/cake_en_translation

Unfortunately some phrases and words are still hard coded in the template files or even in the database and so require some technical knowledge to update. You may find the hard coded words in this file:

/app/views/layout/default.ctp
